CUTE BIRD SAYS, 'SAVE ME'

Reduce the usage of cell phones (mobiles) – Small bird (Chittukuruvi) becomes endangered in India

On 14.11.2011 I gave my awareness speech among our community.  I start my speech from the cell phones. Some of my points are,

Birds are migrating from one place to another according to the seasons.  They cross a several miles to find a suitable climate.  In some places they are hunted for food and other usages.  It should be banned by the corresponding Governments.  All species created by nature are interconnected with each other.  If we disturb one entire bio chain should be disturbed.  In India one small bird name ?chittukuruvi? is in dangerous position.  Before my mother was a child she saw many birds near her house.  While I was in four I saw that bird in my grandpa?s village.  Now a day I never see that cute bird anywhere.  If this situation happened continuously we saw the species in zoo, museum and in book only.  Cell phone towers also responsible for this.  The radiation from towers affects the birds and brings them to an end. We can control the usage of cell phones.  In news paper I read the survey of one British Organization which stated that the Britain is in 14th place in cell phone usage; But the number of cell phones is greater than the population because one may use two or three phones (6.20 crore population – 7.64 crore cell phones).First place goes to China, where 95 crore cell phones are in use.  Some changes their phone often because they mishandle their old one by unfortunately placing it with contact of liquids like water or in bathrooms etc.  Someone change the phones for fancy.  This must be avoided.  Because these actions may increase the e wastes. Bikki , the organization announced that after China India is in second place in selling cell phones.  The requirement of cell phones in India will increase 35 crore within 2020.  Now,  in India 87 crore people use cell phones.  In this 1 crore use smart phone; It will be increased 10 to 15 crore in near future.   Extra care should be taken to handle the cell phones. In 90s the grocessory things are sold loosely.  So some grains scattered in the ground and the birds came there to pick the grains to eat.  Now a day all products are covered by a plastic cover.  No doubt there are no wastage of food products and it is easy to handle but it leads to a problem to such a small birds, they do not get a food easily for their survival.
