This term holiday on October I have gone to my grandpa?s house. While crossing R. Cauvery (the construction of over bridge have undergone), I saw a crane removes the non perished plastic bags from the ground. It dumped upto 5 to 10 feet into the ground. After removing those things the construction work was started on that area. Those plastic papers are dumped many years before but they never damaged a little bit. If it so happened how the ground near the river absorbs the river water? These plastic wastages do not allow the rain water to the ground through it. Rain water settles on the plastic papers itself and stagnate there lead to a growth of mosquitoes. They spread diseases. To kill mosquitoes we use lot of liquids and coil, they degrade the environment and our personal health. Also one can spend money for that. Coils emit smoke which will induce respiratory problems. Sprays are responsible for green house gases. Instead of buying coils and sprays one can invest in net to avoid mosquito bite. Then take necessary steps to control the growth of mosquitoes. If there is proper drainage, there will not be stagnant water and no growth of mosquitoes. To avoid plastic bag we ban the carry bags. The production of carry bags should be stopped. Government should take necessary steps to stop the production of plastic bags. Otherwise there is no use to run a procession against the plastic bags. In India Government issues the power savers instead of incandescent bulbs. Like that Government and Service Organization take necessary steps to issue cloth or jute bags and spread awareness against carry bags. I saw a slogan ?Use less plastics; Useless plastics?. Plastic is a useless one then why we can Use less, We should ban that useless one.
