THANE – THE NATURAL DISASTER

On Pongal, the cultural festival of Tamilnadu, I have taken my tour from Chidambaram to Chennai.  On my way I saw the affects of Thane.  Thane, the cyclone, the natural disaster entirely changes the area from Cuddalore to Pondy.  All the trees and electrical posts fell down due to the cyclone.  I think this year summer we feel the temperature high than the last year summer. We cannot stop the natural disaster but we should manage the natural disaster by planting trees and shrubs etc.  In tsunami affected areas we should plant mangrove forests trees, bushes etc. We can build houses with proper infrastructure in order to withstand earthquake in earthquake areas.  So we can avoid the losses and human deaths due to natural disaster. We can plant grass like vettiver, shrubs in order to prevent soil erosion in sea shores.  More trees in sea shores and the land nearer the sea minimize the speed of cyclone.  We should take the nature in our hands to manage and prevent natural disasters. I took the photos from my room on the day of cyclone.
