Bottle Light, it?s a really simple technology which can helps the poor people for their life making better. It?s widely used in Philippians. The main material of a bottle light is a two litter bottle. Bottle lamp can be used only in day. One bottle lamp can give the equal light of a 55w bulb without any electricity. It works by reflection the sunlight. Basically it?s for the poor people who cannot bear the electricity wages and it?s used in the slum area. Sajid Iqbal, who took the first step of the project.Sajid Iqbal is doing his BSc on Environmental Management from North South University. He earned two social business awards this year in South Asian Youth Leader?s Summit-2012 and SocialBusiness Forum-2012.Sajid led the Solar Bottle light movement in Bangladesh and recently has received a global partnership of Liter of Light which is active in 11 countries. It is a carbon reducing project officially announced by UNFCCC.The team of Sajid Iqbal begins is project 1st time in the Bangladesh in the slum area of Mirpur which is Dhaka.
Environment-friendly Solar Bottle Light (ESBL) is known as bottle light. It?s a 2 or 1.5 liter bottle with water. It?s set in the tin frame in of a slum. One third of the bottle should be on the upper side of the frame for reflecting the sunlight. It?s filled by chlorine-water mixer where chlorine is only 10ml(two tea spoon).
