Lets spread awareness about breast cancer |

Dear Friends,
As PYM(Protect-Your-Mom) Brand Ambassador, I have been conducting events and trying to spread awareness about breast cancer , its alarming statistics , need for early detection etc. PYM is a campaign cum organisation founded by an amazingly brave and noble lady Ms Premi Mathew who herself is a breast cancer survivor. She selflessly works so hard day and night to spread awareness , to support breast cancer patients by funding them for their treatments, by encouraging people to donate their hair for chemotherapy patients. In last few months , she managed to get more than 45 people donate their hair for such cause. I have been doing my bit towards this cause. 1) I conducted 2 events which are posted at below links: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U1BTpxG5jUM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXYFb7aOkKU 2) I made few posters as shown here 3) I created poems as shown here 4) I organised Pink Glove dancethon among ladies 5) I organised pink glove dance among girls/teenagers as Pink is symbolic of Breast Cancer cause. -all with objective of letting the message reach maximum people. If mothers see posters or banners they may ignore but if their children come home asking them"Mom did you do check up for breast cancer or self examination for breast cancer " , Mom would surely pay it some heed. Do you know : 1 in 8 women globally die of breast cancer. There are 97-98% chances of survival if it is detected at early stages. Self examination is an easy way to detect and prevent it from become serious. For the women in age group 20-40 years , mammography should be done once in 3 years and for above 40 years , it should be done every year. Hair is so so so much important and valuable to those cancer patients who lose them during the process of chemotherapy. So we should not waste hair in salons rather donate them. Pl do tell your Moms , sisters , female friends , aunts to be vigilant about breast cancer as we all love them. LET'S BEAT BREAST CANCER. |
