Recycle for a Greener Sharjah

by | 12-01-2014 17:13 recommendations 0

Beeah, a Sharjah based environment & waste management company fully supported by the local government is very active in recycling. It has set a target of cent percent landfill diversion by 2015.

Another concrete step in this direction recently was to install recycling bins for clothes, textiles, shoes & bags

These bins are quite big in size & can accommodate large quantities of donated stuff.

Normally, in UAE disposing old items has been an issue. You have to throw in garbage, which fills the landfills & takes years to regenerate.

This is an effective tool to help the needy population. The unwanted items in good condition can thus be collected in orderly manner by a government body who has the means of distributing to the deprived anywhere in the world.

I urge all UAE particularly Sharjah Tunza members & Ambassadors to fully utilize these bins to dispose in an environment friendly manner
