The Banana tree

by | 25-02-2014 00:16 recommendations 0

The banana tree is a very common tree in our country. It grows in some other countries of Asia and Latin America.

The banana tree is not really a tree. Its trunk is made of many barks. Its body  has no wood. The barks are one upon another and thus they make the body. The barks are soft like sponge. The tree has no branches. It has big and broad leaves at the top. The tree is light green.  It looks pretty.

Nutrients in a banana, per serving*:

                           Vitamin B6 – .5 mg

                                Manganese – .3 mg

                  Vitamin C – 9 mg

                         Potassium – 450 mg

                          Dietary Fiber – 3g

                            Protein – 1 g

                             Magnesium – 34 mg

                            Folate – 25.0 mcg

                     Riboflavin – .1 mg

                               Niacin – .8 mg

                         Vitamin A – 81 IU

 Iron – .3 mg

The banana tree itself is of no great use to us. In our country village boys make raft with it. It?s dry leaves may also be used as fuel. But it does us the greatest good with its fruit.
