UNEP Tunza Eco-Generation appreciated at GPS-Nepal. |

?I am a Power Shifter? a program to initiate innovative campaigns against climate change was held from 28 to 30 March in Kathmandu by Global Power Shift-Nepal. 100 Youth from different educational background across Nepal enthusiastically participated in the program. The major objective of the program was to make the first move for innovative activism against climate change and for nature conservation. In the program participants showed their commitments and keen interests on Promoting Eco friendly habits and behavior, Eco friendly tourism business, Promoting Alternative Energy in Household level, Climate research and policy, Documentation, Documentary and Drama. We introduced the Eco generation tool kit on climate change as one the resource material to the potential power shifters (participants) as the basic information to introduce climate change scenario. The tool kit was very easy to explain and understandable to the participants whether or not from environmental background. So the tool kit developed by the UNEP Tunza Eco generation was very appreciated by the mentors and participants. ?It is really easy to understand the toolkit, it is a very useful resource,? said Deepak Raj Parajuli, climate change researcher and a mentor in the GPS Nepal team. Moreover, the participants and the organizers open heartily acceptable the support provided from the Tunza Eco Generation.?These support of promotional good are the good example of eco friendly gift I ever had? said Prasuj Mainali (Participant). Pencil sets from the recycled paper were the highlight of the event. Participants reserved the sticky notes as token of the Eco generation to take back home despite instruction to use wisely to write their ideas in the program. Samsung engineering was also very appreciated for successfully executing its Corporate social responsibility by introducing Eco Generation. The organizing team heartily thanked the Tunza Eco-generation team for the wonderful support and cooperation. They looked forward to collaborate with Tunza Eco-generation to create an environmentally aware global community in near future too. Lastly I along with Ambassador Pratap Maharjan extend our sincere gratitude to Tunza Eco generation Team for supporting us from promoting good on time and helping us and GPS team to set visual impact on the participants.

@ sabin thank you, yes your right. The program was complete action oriented and the participants have been started to work along their respective fields. I am hopeful the change will be observed in up coming days. I will be posting the updates about the program through the reports.Thank you for your interest. :)

yes pratap, I was very pleased to see the participants from community development, Information technology, Business administration, Agriculture, Social Work faculty. and aslo the free lancer people. Non of the participant used the resource. they kept it as souvenir from the tunza as their first Eco friendly gift and obtain it as example of first act of climate action for change.
Your performance in the GPS is highly appreciable. Hats off.

great and awesome job, I hope that it will surely bring some change among the youth regarding environment conservation and hope it will make some significant changes in their society near future

First of all I would like to extend my sincere thanks to Tunza eco Gen team for providing us the resource materials.
The program was indeed a successful one and personally I was pleased to meet like minded youth in a single platform.
To my regret, the only thing is none of the participants used the resources given by the Tunza as they all wanted to keep the resource to exhibit as an example of eco friendly goods and corporate social responsibility of Samsung.
overall the program was given an extra remembrance by Tunza eco gen with the resources, thank you eco gen family.

First of all congratulation Arushi for being 1st best member of quarter. :). The Eco gen teams support and the school kit was very appreciated by each individuals in the program. I hope the influenced youth number may increase in geometric sequence so that the climate activism and nature conservation may become easy.:). thank you for your wonderful response.

Yes Christy lee the participants were bright, fresh minder from in and out side Kathmandu valley with 100% enthusiasm. It felt very cheerful and optimistic when they share their ideas. I am hopeful this climate action will become milestone in climate activism. Thank you for your guidance and support. :) :)
