Recycled waste (for pavements in Abu Dhabi ) cut energy use by 40%

Upto 40% less energy is being used for pavement construction and maintenance in UAE's capital Abu Dhabi.

While new pavements are being built with geogrids or crushed concrete waste , material from pavements that need to be refurbished is being recycled and used to reconstruct them.

This is  a good strategy /initiative by Abu Dhabi Municipality , and makes pavement construction and maintenance  more sustainable in Abu Dhabi.   Such new building strategies result in significant reductions in carbon emissions and costs.
