Art & Nature |
---|
Art has always been a teacher for the world. It leads the civilizations. It has been affected by contemporary situations and has represented those situations with the elaborated descriptions. Environment, nature and its issues have played very important roles in creation of art. Nature is called as the ¡®mother of art¡¯. Art has always learnt from nature and has represented various elements of environment since ages. When there was nothing to talk about, art gave us words in the form of pictorial alphabets, mostly taken from the environment. With several years of human history, art always expressed environmental elements. An artist¡¯s message gets conveyed through the visual impact. Sometimes it expresses issues so strongly that it captures the viewer¡¯s thoughts. What better expression of art there can be! Though describing an art-work and having proper perception of artist¡¯s concern are hard to predict, here few inspirational young artists¡¯ intelligent work, to showcase environmental degradation and our carelessness toward Mother Nature, is being showcased. The first sculpture is ¡®Misbalanced¡¯ by Indian young sculptor Mr. Sunil Kushwaha. The sculptor has delineated how the modern infrastructural construction is damaging the natural eco-system. ¡®Misbalanced¡¯ by Indian young sculptor Mr. Sunil Kushwaha 'Mother Earth in Pain-I' by National Award winning sculptor Mr. Ravi Prakas 'Mother Earth in Pain-II' by National Award winning sculptor Mr. Ravi Prakas In the same way ¡®Mother Earth in Pain-I¡¯ and ¡®Mother Earth in Pain-II¡¯ are two sculptors by National Award winning sculptor Mr. Ravi Prakas, representing the painful upper layer deformation of earth. Such exploitation of natural resources has also been portrayed in the painting ¡®Now Stop¡¯ by Award winning Indian young Artist Mr. Mahesh Chand. Painting ¡®Now Stop¡¯ by Award winning Indian young Artist Mr. Mahesh Chand ¡®The Black Sun¡¯, sculpture by Mr. Sunil Kushwaha ¡®The Black Sun¡¯, another sculpture by Mr. Sunil Kushwaha, illustrates the sun and its rays in black color as a representation of burning energy and the light shaded area in depth, representing rays of hope or useful energy. Two other untitled sculptures by Mr. Sunil Kushwaha, depicts magnificently the cuboidal form of infrastructure over nature and steel formed infrastructure restricting the nature from all sides. These sculptures are examples of art-work by contemporary Indian artists, working to represent the nature and existing environmental problems by art. I heartily admire these artists for thinking out of the box and for choosing to work in this field of sustainable development. Surely, such art will inspire and strengthen the international effort taking place to save the environment. |

The art works are so beautiful and engrossing that you may keep looking at them & wonder how much damage we have inherited.
It is now up to us to reverse this trend & make our mother earth green again.
