World Environmental Day Celebration in Liberia

I had a nice time with the celebration on the World Environment Day. I was given the opportunity to attend the World Environment Day celebration organized by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), which was held in Grand Bassa County. Meeting other people, interacting with others and listening to their local dialects were so awesome. Firstly the Environmental Day Event started with an art competition which was well represented by youths who wanted to contribute to the celebration by sharing their views on the theme ?Small island developing state and climate change? through artistic works. Also the event was followed by sporting activities wherein many youths and adults were engaged.

The World Environmental Day celebration took place in one of the county in Liberia, which is Grand Bassa County. We had a lot of fun with youths in that region like, Educating youths of the impacts on climate change, how to manage waste, chemicals that helps with the depletion of the ozone layer and Reduction of carbon emission etc. We did a lot of recycling and cleaning up the environment in making everywhere very safe for the ecosystem.

These were my engagement at the World Environmental Day Event 2014 in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County Liberia.
