We all are concerned about water conservation and pollution, but do we all know what the statistics says? Believe me it opened my eyes when I come to know that 3 children below 5 years are dying each minute around the world due to contamination of water...So, can you imagine, till the time you finsih reading this report, already 3 children have died during this time due to contaminated water? Other very very disturbing statistics may be interesting and eye opener also: 1) Amount of sewage and waste from industry and agriculture that are dumped into global waterways each year 𔃀,000,000 Tonnes. 2) Children that are killed worldwide each year by the resulting contamination — 1,800,000. 3) Percentage of the world?s hospitals beds that are occupied by victims of water contamination worldwide — >50%. 4) Percentage of waste water in underdeveloped countries that is dumped directly without treatment into lakes, rivers, and oceans — 90%. While we can try to spread the awareness against contamination of water, we also need to think of how we can conserve the water for the next generation...Hope you will agree with me...
