Dear Beloved Ambassadors, Members, and Visitors:

 

Happy International Youth Day!

 

August 12^th is the International Youth Day, established by the United Nations for governments and people to become aware of the youth issues around the world.

Every year, the slogan is different, and for the year 2019, the theme of IYD is “Transforming Education.”

Achieving education is becoming more and more essential – in fact, they are regarded as ‘development multiplier’ that it plays an important role in achieving 17 Sustainable Development Goals, be it eradicating poverty, ensuring good health, taking action on climate, reducing inequalities, and so on.

Furthermore, education is essential that it “ensure(s) inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all” – as stated in Goal 4 of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

              

Therefore, for the monthly event of August, we’ve decided to focus on achieving higher education to the people around us, on a local level.

This can be your chance to become Eco-Generation’s Guest Editor once again and be featured on our article of 2019 edition of “International Youth Day: Transforming Education” which will be sent to all our Tunza Eco-Generation members!

Please tell us about a campaign or session you’ve held this month of August where you taught another person or a group of people about the environment or introduced about TUNZA Eco Generation. It can be just a one-to-one meeting with your friend(s) or a visit to a local school. Including a picture would be nice, and would raise the likelihood of winning, but it is not mandatory.

 

 

Guidelines:

1. Hold a campaign or session with a local school or simply with your family and friends.   

2. Teach them about environmental issues or introduce them about TUNZA Eco Generation, which is also an educational platform.

3. Tell us about it in Our Actions > World Report Tab   

 

Submission deadline is August 31st 2019.
