2013 Earth Day by Bam Azores  



Today, I joined the YMCA Youth Campers in San Pablo City in their Earth Day activity. I was invited by the YMCA Camp Coordinator, Ate (or big sister) Kate.  The group started with a walk from the Leonila Park with their Earth Day signs, greeting people that they passed. They were singing Happy Earth Day to the tune of Happy Birthday! It was a fun activity because there were a lot of people walking and jogging around the lakeshore, so they were surprised to be greeted by young people with a happy greeting of "Happy Earth Day"!

2013 Earth Day by Rohan Kapur 


 
I participated in the Earth Day by joining the annual bee'ah walkathon which was held ceremoniously at the al qasba Sharjah. Amongst all present there there was an array of white as every body rushed to walk from the al qasba to the al majaz completing the entire stretch of the 4 km walk. On this occasion of earth day, I feel very proud that I w a part of such a walk where we work towards saving our Mother Earth.

EARTH DAY 2013 IN OUR SCHOOL CAMPUS by Guru Vishnu Mathivanan 


 
On 22nd April 2013 I and my friends have celebrated Earth's Birthday i  our school with the help of our teachers, management and friends.  I have given awareness speech about EARTH DAY, why is this celebrated? and how to keep our environment green and clean.  Our friends performed dances, eco anthem, speech etc. We have celebrated differently this year.  Due to working day for me I donated saplings to the school children in my native village.  My grandpa did this for me.

My Earth Day celebrations started at school. On 22nd april  my friends have celebrated Earth day(I?m not attended this event because I?m busy with my own Earth day project). This year Earth day became even more special for me and my group because first Time Our city School Association take part in this event.

I celebrated the Earth day 2013, being the part of the event Poster presentation and Essay writing competition organized by MANGOL STUDENT FAMILY, at IAAS Rampur chitwan. I was invited as guest of that program. Due my exam I could not spend much time at that program but I enjoyed very nice poster prepared by many participants. Result and prize distribution will be held after few days and then I will post result of the winner too.

To address the effect of climate change and its consequences Green Youth Generation, Paklihawa Campus in collaboration with Youth for Conservation and Sustainable Agriculture (YCSA) organized Free Drawing competition cum Poster and Video presentation with a theme Mother Earth and Climate Change on the auspicious occasion of The Earth Day-2013 in the college premises.

Earth Day Tree Planting by Jason Occidental 

 
During the strike of Tropical Storm Bopha (Pablo) in the Philippines, forests such as in Compostela Valley province has been left bare and treeless. However, during the celebration of Earth Day 2013, 5000 seedlings were planted to reforest the typhoon devastated mountain. Organized by several youth groups such as Tulong Kabataan, Balsa Mindanao, and Ecotenista Movement, this Mindanao wide tree growing activity aims to restore the forests that were hit by Typhoon Bopha.

Final day of action we gathered at Silphery, Dhuma village which is highly effected due eight sponge-iron factory. We decided to make our "THE FACE OF CLIMATE CHANGE" at that particular area.

Bee'ah walk 22nd April2013 by Arushi Madan 


 
To mark Earth Day, the Sharjah environmental and waste management company Bee?ah organised ?My Bee?ah Walkathon? which started today at around 5 PM from Al Qasba and ended at Al Majaz. I was glad to be a part of this great walk which aimed at raising awareness about the importance of recycling.

Free Relation Awakening Project - Shah Alam's Trees for life tree planting session with Eco Warriors Malaysia March 2013.
