[Noida, India] January 21, 2013 – Samsung Engineering?s social responsibility program, Eco-generation, and Paryavaran Mitra of Centre for Environmental Education (CEE) hosted an award ceremony for the Eco-generation Environmental Essay Competition at Samsung Engineering India's headquarters on Monday. Out of 22 finalists, Shreya Srinivas from Bal Bharati Public School and Geetika Praveen Prakash from Mayur Public School achieved the highest honor and were awarded an all expenses paid trip to attend Eco-generation?s 2013 Global Youth for the Environment Forum in Seoul, Korea. In November 2012, Eco-generation launched its first essay competition for Indian students from grades nine through eleven attending schools in Delhi and Noida. 166 students submitted a 1,500 word English essay on the topic, 'How Climate Change Affects our Life: Climate Change and My Efforts towards a Sustainable Life.' All entries were submitted via Eco-generation's official website, www.tunza.eco-generation.org. At the awards ceremony, Viney Kaushik, Vice President of Samsung Engineering India, and Mr. Prabhjot Sodhi, Director of CEE, congratulated all 22 finalists with an official certificate and trophy for demonstrating insight and passion regarding environmental issues. 'We are proud of all the students for actively leading the conversation on climate change,'said Mr. Viney Kaushik. In February, Shreya and Geetika will be invited to the 2013 Global Youth for the Environment Forum in South Korea so that they can strengthen their knowledge through environmental education programs with more than 400 international students. Samsung Engineering has successfully launched a wide range of environmental education programs for youth worldwide through Eco-generation since 2006. As part of its environmental education campaign in India, Samsung Engineering India employees hosted an environmental class for children in September 2012. The company will work together with CEE to develop more environmental events annually. @ Ecogeneration Thank you but a week has passed by and still I didn't receive any response, I have been trying to contact your official for my certificate past 2 months but result is in vain.
I again sincerely request you for the same, hope you will understand my state of my mind. I have told everyone including my school about my prize so they are asking for the certificate and I am unable to answer them which is making me a piece of mocking stock infront of everyone.
I know ecogeneration is a reliable organisation which not only conducts competition but also gives certificates and prizes to the winners. I hope I am one of them :-)

@Ecogeneration Dear Sir/Madam
I was ranked among the top 22 in the Eco-generation Essay Competition. I could not attend the Award Cermony held at Noida on 21.01.2013 due to my school examinations. Earlier I had contacted Ms Subba Nair at her e-mail conveying my inability to attend the function. However, I did not get any response till date.
I request you to please send my certificate and memento, if any to my home address. Else, kindly forward the contact details of the concerned official so that I can approach him in this regard.
In anticipation of a quick response from your side. :->
