ACADEMIC QUALIFICATION: Bachelor/Master degree completed or students at any stage from Forestry, Zoology, Environmental Management, Environmental Science, Rural Development, Natural Resource Management, Botany, Biodiversity, Mass Communication, and Veterinary Science. EXPERIENCE: No experience needed LANGUAGE: Fluent in speaking and writing English EQUIPMENT AND ACCESSORIES: Must bring a pair of trekking/hiking shoes, a laptop and a binocular (having at least 7x magnification and at least 35o field of view). COMMITMENT: • Trainees must be able to work in group, and in harsh environment. • The trainee should not have problem staying in remote locations during the field work. • Trainees must work as an intern for six months at FON and design wildlife related project/proposal in collaboration with FON after the training. They will independently run the project they develop. The internship is online and you are not expected to be at FON Nepal office regularly during your internship. NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS: 15 (fifteen) REGISTRATION FEE (Applicable only for selected trainees): Registration fee: NPR 4,000/participant (Four thousand) (thirteen participants) Capitation seat: NPR 25,000/participant (two seats reserved for organization/individual who want to pay the fee and reserve the seat. The competition for these two seats is limited to within this group only) ACCOMMODATION: An application has to be submitted if the selected trainees require lodging and fooding (dinner) support during theoretical classes in Kathmandu. Lodging and fooding for the trainees during field work will be managed by FON Nepal. The basic resource i.e. field guides and equipment (camera traps, spotting scope etc) will be provided in sharing basis by FON Nepal for the duration of the training only. HOW TO APPLY: • Application (cover letter, one-page maximum) • Letter of motivation (500 words maximum with your interest and future plan). • Resume/Curriculum vitae (two pages maximum). Include your recent passport size photograph.
