We all want change. We know we cannot change others. The only thing we can do is to change ourselves. Changing ourselves begins with the change in language we use.
The most widely practiced form of communication around the world, simply because it works.
Subject: National Conference on Nonviolent Communication.
Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is a communication process that creates connection with empathic receiving and honest self-expression. Although it has been practiced since the human evolution, it has been shadowed in the modern competitive world where we are culturally conditioned with the disconnecting form of communication. So with the aim of reestablishing of a compassionate world where everyone's needs are considered and every citizens are treated as a human being free from moralistic judgements, Marshall Rosenberg, an American psychologist developed this form of communication during 1970s. Since then Center for Nonviolent Communication (CNVC) has been organizing several workshops and trainings on Nonviolent Communication giving people different strategies for a happy and peaceful life.
Till date Billions of people from more than 150 nations has been learning it and enriching their lives. NVC Practice Group Nepal is a group of young passionate youths giving hope to helpless people and voice to voiceless people and helping them to make their life more wonderful with clear communication and effective leadership. Nonviolent Communication has never been only about compassionate communication, it's more about creating a mutual connection and understanding with clarity. We also aim to unite the global community, develop NVC consciousness and implement true change to achieve our final goal– peace, happiness and success with simplicity.
objectives:
Activities: -Panel discussion on the selected thematic areas of the Sustainable Development Goals. The national and international level experts from the respective thematic area will present on the topic and discussions will be held. -Scope and Need of NVC.
Expected participants: The consultation has expected to bring around 100 participants from the following categories: -National and International Youths, volunteers /Service Organizations, -Representatives from Government of Nepal, Development partners -Representatives from I/NGOs, CBOs, Business entities -Youth Activists from all districts.
