objective:
To provide detailed explanation about global warming and its effect on agriculture to the students and researcher of Punjab University. Possible solutions to control the situation would also be discussed. Date: 29th of May, 2014 Venue: Institute of Agricultural Sciences, University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan Agenda of Program: Welcome Address by the honourable director Institute of Agricultural Sciences, University of the Punjab Welcome Note by the Ambassador to Pakistan, Mr. Farooq Ahmad. -Technical Session 1 which include the introduction and explanation of global warming by Mr. Haroon Akram Gill, Climate leader working on Climate Reality Project, USA -Technical Session 2 which include the effect of global warming on agriculture and projected losses by 2030 by Mr. Haroon Akram Gill, Climate leader working on Climate Reality Project, USA -Technical Session 3 which would be about the solutions and possible steps to overcome or undo these effects of global warming to protect our crops and livestock by Mr. Haroon Akram Gill, Climate leader working on Climate Reality Project, USA - Quiz Competition would also be held at the end of the above mentioned technical sessions in which we would ask some questions to our students. - Prize Distribution would be at the end. Prizes from Tunza Eco-Generation, an initiative of UNEP and Samsung, would be distributed among top three winners of quiz competitions and honourable guests by the ambassador Mr. Farooq Ahmad
