CSE is organising the following training programmes in partnership with Guthi (www.guthi.net), Nepal. Sustainable water management systems like harvesting rainwater and decentralised wastewater treatment including reuse and recycle can substantially increase the availability of water in areas where supply is scarce and has also become an economical and ecological benefit. The details of the programme (s) are as follows:

URBAN RAINWATER HARVESTING: Nov 10 - 11, 2013

Two day programme will focus on urban rainwater harvesting (RWH) and the potential it holds in augmentation of water availability by using public spaces to recharge their groundwater or store and reuse the rainwater. The training will also showcase examples to bring in required laws to enable individuals to undertake rainwater harvesting. The participants will get the opportunity to plan and design a rainwater harvesting system.

DECENTRALISED WASTEWATER TREATMENT AND REUSE: Nov 13 - 14, 2013

Two day programme will focus on decentralised wastewater treatment (DWWT) including recycling and reuse. The training will provide hand on experience in planning, designing implementation of DWWTS and monitoring interactive seminars, detailed case studies on planning and designing and class room instructions.

                          
The participants will get a good exposure of the case studies implemented on the ground in and around Kathmandu through a field visit on Day 3 of the training – dated: November 12, 2013.
