Zugdidi, Georgia - A Religious Youth Service project will take place July 20-28 in western Georgia's historic province of Samegrelo. Zugdidi, the center of the region, is located 318 kilometers west of the capital city of Tbilisi, 30 km from the Black Sea coast. Georgia is one of the most ancient and fascinating countries in the world that is still to be discovered by you! Under the theme, ?Youth Leaders: Serving Together for Peace,? the experiential service-learning project invites people of diverse faiths, ethnicities, nationalities, generations, and cultures to come together to live and work as a community for the sake of others. Volunteers will help renovate the social center, do ecological activities, visit places of worship of various religions, participate in character education activities, and competing in sport programs. There will be memorable opportunities for sightseeing, fun activities, games, and cultural visits. With Mahatma Gandhi, organizers sincerely believe that ?We should be the change that we wish to see in the world? and that seemingly casual meetings can open new vistas and opportunities in life. Each participant is responsible for the expenses related to their air travel. A participation fee of $100 will contribute towards achieving the project goals. ...
