World Environment Day (WED) is a day that stimulates awareness of the environment and enhances political attention and public action. World Environment Day ('WED') is celebrated every year on 5th June to raise global awareness of the need to take positive environmental action. It is run by the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP).
Volunteer for Bangladesh (VBD) has planned to celebrate World Environment Day-2013 under the slogan: ?Respect the Environments, Respect Human Rights? so as to make people and especially youth aware about the significance of saving environment and protecting human rights together. Volunteer for Bangladesh (VBD) will celebrate the occasion in three episodes.
1. World Environment Day 2013: Bangladesh Goes Green: Volunteer for Bangladesh (VBD) will plant seedlings in the schools of all over the country.
2. World Environment Day 2013: Riding Green: A cycle rally will be arranged to promote cycling on 7th of June
3. World Environment Day 2013: Green Message: Volunteer for Bangladesh (VBD) will put informative and fictional banners in a comical way on the trees of all over Dhaka so as to aware the general people about the illegal eradicate of trees in hill tracks, forest areas and other areas of the country
