We know you all are very curious and excited about our upcoming ¡°VIRTUAL CONFERENCE ON SMALL MAMMALS¡± which will be started from 23rd July 2021 to 25th July 2021. Registration link: Here we present you our guest speakers for the first day of the conference. So, on the very first day of this virtual conference on small mammals, we will be having a webinar of two sessions on the 23rd of July, 2021. For the first session, we have Dr. Babu Ram Lamichhane as our Key speaker. And our topic for this session is ¡°Importance of small mammals and its conservation status in Nepal¡±. Introducing Dr. Lamichhane , he is an ¡° Act. Office In-Charge / NTNC at Biodiversity Conservation Center, Chitwan¡±. Moreover, Dr. Lamichhane holds an MSc in Natural Resources Management and Rural Development from Ithe institute of Forestry / Tribhuvan University, Nepal ,and PhD on human-carnivore interactions in Chitwan National Park, Nepal from Leiden University, the Netherlands and Antwerp University, Belgium. He is a conservation biologist currently managing NTNC's Biodiversity Conservation Center (BCC), Chitwan. He joined NTNC in 2009 and is actively involved in wildlife research/monitoring and capacity building. Since he joined NTNC, he is mostly stationed at BCC, Chitwan ,and involved in various conservation and research projects including the setting up the ID-based rhino monitoring system in Chitwan (2009-2013), data management, and technical lead on Rhino Count (2011, 2015 & 2021), member of the scientific committee for national tiger survey (2013 & 2018). Dr. Lamichhane has experience in implementing over a dozen of ongoing and completed projects on wildlife and habitat restoration. He has published over three dozen of scientific papers in national and international journals. And for the second session, we have Dr. Rebanta Kumar Bhattarai as our key speaker. And our topic for this session is ¡°Terrestrial Small Mammals as the reservoirs of the zoonotic diseases: Microbiological Basis ¡°. Introducing Dr. Bhattarai, he is an ¡°Associate Professor of Veterinary Microbiology and Head of Department at Agriculture and Forestry University, Nepal¡±. Regarding his professional experience, he is into Teaching, Research and Extension in IAAS and AFU since November 19, 2004. He is also the Founder Shareholder, Technical Director of Sarbottam Vet Pharma/Pvt.Ltd., Rapti Poultry Breeding and Research Pvt. Ltd., Hylay Breeder Nepal Pvt. Ltd., Hylay Breeder Hatchery Pvt. Ltd., Shikhar Hatchery Pvt. Ltd, Hygiene Feed Industries Pvt. Ltd., Agromix Feed Industries, White Bird Hatchery Pvt. Ltd. Similarly, He is the Chairman and founder shareholder in Farm Nepal Pvt. Ltd (Poultry Web Portal). He is also the Shareholder at Brown-Bird Hatchery Pvt. Ltd . We will soon reveal our guests' speakers for the second and third day of the conference.
