HSBC - The Daily Star Climate Awards 2012

HSBC - The Daily Star Climate Awards 2012 will be given in four categories: 

Climate Champion in Green Business
For companies and organisations introducing, developing and/or promoting products, services or technologies that seek to mitigate the effects of climate change and preserve environment. Open to 100% Bangladeshi-owned companies.

Climate Champion in Green Operations 
For commercial organisations that adopt and embrace eco-friendly and environmentally responsible process, technologies or mechanism in their business practice. Two awards will be given to: 

  • 100% Bangladeshi owned companies
  • Companies with full or partial foreign ownership

Climate Champion in Knowledge Management 
For research, exploration or awareness building programmes that focus on protecting biodiversity, preserving environment and/or provides solution to managing climate change consequences in Bangladesh. Open to all individuals and organisations.

Climate Champion in Community Engagement For social initiatives aiming to improve the lives of the communities affected by climate change and/or proactive campaigns focused on environmental preservation. Open to all Bangladeshi individuals and organisations.

All nominations will be reviewed by an adjudication panel consisting of expert jury members and the short-listed nominations will be verified. The jury list will be announced later
