Third EAS Youth Forum: Young Champions for the Oceans Date: 08/Jul/2012 to 13/Jul/2012 Type: Online
The 3rd East Asian Seas Youth Forum (YF3), scheduled from 08-13 July 2012, will carry the theme: Young Champions for the Oceans. The YF3 can serve as venue for promoting awareness and strengthening the role the youth, and enhancing their leadership potential in ocean and coastal governance in the EAS region. Specifically, YF3 aims to: Promote awareness on ocean and coastal governance among the youth; Identify actions/activities that the youth can engage in sustaining coastal and marine ecosystem services in the EAS region; Provide participants with practical knowledge, skills and materials that they can apply, and contribute to achieving sustainable development of the marine and coastal environment; Build a pool of inspired youth in pursuing ocean and coastal management endeavors; Strengthen and sustain the online mechanism of the EAS Youth Network (EASYNet); and Encourage the participation of more youth and youth organizations in EASYNet For more details, please visit http://eascongress.pemsea.org/yf3
