Warm Greetings, Fellow Environmentalists! The YFEED Foundation is happy to announce Nepal Youth Forum on Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Crisis 2021 (2nd Edition). We aim to discuss, understand and make way for better solutions while encompassing various stakeholders and their voices. Our main priority is also the climate crisis threat it poses in our imminent future. This online webinar will act as a preparatory meeting in concert with Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction 2021 (APMCDRR 2021). YFEED Foundation hosted a physical program late 2019, but this year we will conduct our program virtually due to the given COVID-19 scenario. Fight against Climate Change, and Disaster Risk Reduction is a continuous process. It takes civil obedience, government intervention, better infrastructures, and many more factors that seem easy on paper but hard to comprehend in real life. We are here to change that: collectively. We want to collect what our local youths have to say, relay what the government has been doing, and pressure our government to issue commitment and mandates necessary on the global stage. The 2021 Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction (APMCDRR) is expected to focus on the need for local and inclusive action to build community resilience in the face of growing disaster risks. It will bring together more than 2,000 delegates from over 50 countries, primarily from the Asia Pacific – the most disaster-prone region globally, with seven of the ten countries with the highest number of disaster-related deaths in 2018. This ingenuity is a collaboration of ¡®Asia Pacific Researchers, Practitioners, Policy-Makers in Dialogue with Children and Youth Project¡¯ by United Nations Major Group for Children and Youth (UN MGCY), and Sendai Stakeholders Children and Youth Group in partnership with Asia Pacific Coalition for School Safety (APCSS) and Converge Nheri, and Supported by the SEI - Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI).This preparatory meeting is in solidarity with Asia-Pacific Ministerial Conference on Disaster Risk Reduction 2021 (APMCDRR).
