Rules and Guidelines of the Youth Essay Writing Competition: Following the previous post, YO Nepal presents the rules and guidelines of the Youth Essay Writing Competition. Structure of the Essay Competition The essay competition consists of online submissions that need to be sent electronically within the given timeline. Only one essay per participant can be submitted. Procedures for the Submission The theme of the essay shall be mailed to the email address that you have provided at 9 AM on 18th December. The essay has to be sent, at the latest by 11:59 PM on 19th December. Only original essays will be considered for the competition. Previously published essays are therefore excluded. Any form of plagiarism will result in disqualification. Language of the essay: Essays can be in either English or Nepali. Length of the essay: The essay must be between 600 to 1000 words. Format Requirements: a. Typed in A4 on portrait mode b. Font Size: 12 c. Font: Times New Roman (English) and Preeti (Nepali) Scoring of the Essay 1.The essays will be scored by the judges on the basis of: CONTENT ORIGINALITY CLARITY and CREATIVITY DESCRIPTIVE LANGUAGE STRUCTURE NEW IDEAS AND CONCEPTS Prizes The winning essay will get featured in YO Nepal and American Corner Dhangadhi. Also, the top three essays will be awarded surprise gifts. All participants will be awarded a certificate of participation. Names of the winners will be published on YO Nepal’s Facebook group page by the end of December 2020. Winners will be sent an email to notify them of the same. Winners will be asked to show their original citizenship at the time of receiving prizes. Note: Essays incompatible with the above rules and conditions will be disqualified.
