We are pleased to announce our honorable opening speaker : Dr. Rakesh Chand for the "One Health Digital Webinar Series" jointly organized by IVSA Paklihawa and YPARD Nepal. He will be presenting on "Overview of One Health Concept in Nepal; Insect Trade and their role in Global Health" on 2nd November, 2020 (4:00 PM). Dr. Chand persuaded his B.V.Sc. and A.H. at IAAS, TU, Rampur, Chitwan at 2015 A.D. Since 2015 to 2017 he worked at National Zoonoses and Food Hygiene Research Centre (NZFHRC). He was enrolled at 2017-2018 (Japan) TPFAV-II Program (JVMA), Japan Veterinary Medical Association (JVMA) in 2017 for a year. He has obtained training towards molecular biology at Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology (TUAT). Some of his achievements: World Rabies Day 2017 (Asia) Awardee 2018-2019 (Nepal) Consultant for Dog Rabies Database (HART) and AMR Diaries (PAHS) Executive member - Nepal Veterinary Association (NVA) Country lead - 0.30 Project: Rabies Control Program in Nepal Founded (Director) - Center for One Health Research & Promotion (COHRP), Nepal In 2019-2020 (UK) Dr. Chand persuaded MPhil in Veterinary Science, University of Cambridge on the research topic: “Epidemiology and control of Rabies in Nepal” Currently, he has joined PhD in Veterinary Medicine, University of Cambridge on the research topic: “One health approach for rabies control in nepal: evaluating the burden, surveillance, transmission and policies”.
