About Biofloc Technology:

Biofloc Technology is a technique of enhancing water quality in aquaculture through balancing carbon and nitrogen in the system. The technology has recently gained attention as a sustainable method to control water quality, with the added value of producing proteinaceous feed in situ. Biofloc technology (BFT) is as an environmentally friendly aquaculture technique based on in situ microorganism production. It is the technology used in aquaculture system with limited or zero water exchange under high stocking density, strong aeration and biota formed by biofloc.

Mr. Sunil Pokharel is CEO of Farmers friend Agri Solution Pvt. Ltd. His company works on agri commercialization, modernization and for betterment of agriculture by collaborating with many private and government organization. He completed his Post-Graduation from HICAST, Kathmandu (PU) in Agribusiness Management. He has many work experiences in different NGOs, INGOs and private companies. In between that he had also completed Diploma in Advance Agricultural Studies for agronomist from Israel. He believes without the advancement and modernization in agriculture the development door of the nation will not open.
