Webinar Title:
Education and Voluntary Reproductive Health Care: A Panacea for Positive Youth and Community Development
Date: Thurs, June 25, 2020
Time: 9:00-10:00 am EDT
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), nearly 16 million girls aged 15 to 19 and one million girls aged 10 to 14 give birth each year. For some, pregnancy and motherhood are planned and desired, but, for many others, this might not be the case. The unplanned reproductive outcomes often have consequences that pose a great risk on the education, development, and health of both male and female youth.
In order to reduce the risk and negative impact of unplanned reproductive health outcomes, it is very important that young people are made aware and have access to voluntary family planning and reproductive health care.
Please join us for this webinar in which YouthLead Ambassadors will highlight the need for and the barriers to this care for youth, especially during the pandemic. The presenters will also discuss how youth can lead acts of good promoting voluntary family planning and reproductive health.
Speakers:
YouthLead Ambassador Albania, Anisa Fejzo
YouthLead Ambassador Burkina Faso, Sawadogo Saidou
