COVID-19 global pandemic has scrambled to undermine the socio-economic and health status of high-risk countries impending economic crisis and recession. However, this global pandemic has united us to adopt appropriate responses in agriculture to alleviate post-pandemic food insecurity and economic crisis. So, with the motive to engage youths in agriculture and drive them off the unstable mental health scene due to indefinite lockdown, Youth Thinkers Society is organizing Agri-Talk series, “Beginner’s Guide to Bonsai” being the first initiative of our ongoing series. Bonsai are simply known for “tree in tray”; miniaturization of a tree that mimics the shape and scale of full-size trees as closely as possible. The Bonsai is believed to symbolize balance, harmony, peace, age, and simplicity that are evident in real life as well. So, to shower enthusiastic youths with cultivation techniques of Bonsai, we are organizing Agri Talk –I on ‘Beginner’s Guide to Bonsai’ on May 22, 2020. Apart from the aesthetic value, Bonsai is considered to have multiple health and psychological benefits, so we request you to stimulate your creativity and start growing your Bonsai after the learning you get from the session. We are coming up with many interesting topics to expand your knowledge of agriculture in the days to come. Have you ever imagined growing a tree that fits into your palm? If not, here we provide you a wonderful opportunity to wake up your artist inside and shape a tree you wish.
