This year, Nepal welcomes 200 young leaders from Indo-Pacific Region to The Everest International Model United Nations (EIMUN) from 15th to 19th July 2019. It is organized by Youth Thinkers’ Society (YTS) in collaboration with US Embassy Nepal, which is officially called as 1st Indo-Pacific Regional Edition of EIMUN. It will also serve as the cultural exchange programs for the youths around the world.

EIMUN has been a platform for youths to discuss global issues and find the relevant solutions. During the conference, the participants will roleplay as the delegates of different nations. The youths from diverse backgrounds will collaborate to achieve a common goal of bringing up innovative ideas and policies addressing the prevailing global issues through dialogue, debate and discussion.

Here, the participants will be given the particular set of agendas to be discussed during the conference period. They are required to present their views as per the assigned country. The agendas on discussion are carefully selected, recognizing the current need, particularly, of the indo-pacific region, but it will not be restricted to it.

We discuss the national and international policies and find the solution to the global problem in the discussion format of Model United Nations. Over the time, Model United Nation conferences have proved themselves as excellent learning procedures. Adopted by some of the most prestigious high schools and colleges around the globe, it instils distinct personal qualities and refines several skills - researching, debating, diplomatic, public speaking.

The young leaders practice extensive diplomacy, negotiation, understands the multilateral dialogue, discusses policies and work on to form resolutions through discussion based on Model United Nations format.
