Women’s Debating Tournament’ Date: TBD to march 7 Type: Online
Introducing our Chief Adjudication Panel for VidhuShe of Nepali category: Deepshikha Ghimire, Priyanka Mahat, and Shreya Joshi VidhuShe 2022, 5th Annual Womxn’s Debating Tournament’ is the fifth edition of the championship exclusively for womxn debaters in British Parliamentary (BP) debate format being organized in Nepal. The tournament is being organized from 11th to 13th March via zoom by female debate community members as part of the annual plan of Debate Network Nepal. The three days long tournament includes training, group stage, knockout rounds, the grand finale, and closing ceremony. Across debate communities worldwide, it has been an established practice to organize tournaments by and for women, and understanding the specific need of organizing one in Nepal as well, VidhuShe had been brought forth. The participants and organizers are committed to the cause of womxn and the espousing of values concerning their liberties and freedoms and breaking gender barriers. To make the event more inclusive, the debate tournament will be held in both English and Nepali divisions. This form is ONLY for the Nepali category.
