Do you know about Mink Eyelashes?

by Sonika Pariyar | 24-07-2020 11:09 recommendations 0

We all have listen many news of  animals being harmed for human benefits. Few days ago I got sighted to news about harming Mink for making cosmetic product eye lashes. Minks are dark coloured ,semi -aquatic, carnivorous  mammals of  genera  Neovison and Mustela , a pet of family Mustelidea. In Australia and other countries Mink lashes have been popular .They are Mink fur that has been shaved off a mink body (either right before or directly after the animal is killed on a fur farm) that are then glued in strands to a human`s eyelashes for a fuller and thicker look. Mink lashes are often sold as 100% cruelty free or safely collected from a free range farm or even ten only after the Minks have been brushed .Mink are most commonly farmed fur bearing animal in the world. They are bred and slaughtered on fur farm around the world for their fur, and farmers often killed them in gas chamber. If we purchase a mink fur coat or set of mink lashes,we are supporting an industry in which animals endure immense fear, stress, diseases, parasite and other physiological and physical hardship.

PETA and its international affiliates has has been campaigning against mink fur eyelashes industry ,with cosmetic retail giants Sephora and MECCA, as well as eyelash brand Velour announcing bans on fur lashes in 2020.Meanwhile ,beauty company Lilly Lashes is still selling Mink lashes, and using false marketing to mislead customer into thinking that they are buying an animal -friendly product. Different birds and animals like Ground Hornbill, Giraffe, Ostrich, Kangaroo etc has been killed for eye lashes. This is just one example but there are many such animals which has been killed for cosmetic products. This news really made me sad hope Minks are not killed any more in the name of eye lashes.

    Greetings Sonika,
I hope you are doing fine and is safe wherever you are.
It's no new incident that the innocent animals are harmed to satisfy the human luxurious standards. illegal poaching of animals for the personal use may create the fear of their extinction in the near future.
Hope the concerned authority addressed this important issues and ban all the animal products.
Keep on sharing the informative article.
    Warm Regards.
