Reuse of bamboo

by Sudha Bhandari | 17-07-2020 16:11 recommendations 0

Agriculture is a predominant activity in most developing countries. As economic growth and development take place, impor- tance of agriculture tends to decline accord- ing to the famous hypothesis. The declining share of agriculture is, however, a slow phenomenon and is felt only over a rela- tively long time horizon. The implication is that growth of total income exceeds that of agricultural income over a long time. Modernisation of agricultureis supposed to ensure productivity growth without imposing any threats to the natural environment and the well-being of animals, reduced impoverishment in rural areas as well as to ensure food security, growth in the profitability of farms. For a small start we can go from our home.we should learn to use the wasted things in a biologically beneficial way. I believe in doing so I started from the use of Bamboos.

Bamboo as a natural raw material existed together in the world since the days of man on earth. Bamboo use in construction is not new; it has been regularly utilized for building mud houses and small huts in villages for centuries. Bamboo is a durable and exceptionally flexible building material.

But, nowadays bamboo is used to grow different short duration crops for extra purposes. If you have shortage of land but you want to grow vegetables at your own then you can use this Bamboo at your home.

During this lockdown time

I have used this bamboo to grow buckwheat, mustard, and other green leafy vegetables. This has solved the problem of land shortage and helps in utilization of bamboos too .

This was just an initiation to connect with both the nature and agriculture together. You can grow organic for your own.

Small try at home
