After the second world war, The recent global concern COVID-19 has become the human life extinction event with the death increasing in exponentially.COVID-19,an acute respiratory disease is striking the entire world by threatening human existence. It¡¯s commencing stage is linked with wet market in ¡®Wuhan of Eastern China¡¯. It was declared ¡®Outbreak¡¯ by Public Health Emergency of International concern on 30th January 2020 and recognized as ¡®Pandemic¡¯ on 11 march 2020 by WHO. COVID-19 stands for Corona Virus Disease-19, ¡®19¡¯ specifying identification date: 31st December 2019. China being blamed as the culprit for releasing this bio-weapon and making earth inhabitable which resulted in 1.5 million COVID-19 cases reported in 209 countries. There are altogether 88,300 deaths testing the limits of hospital system. Luckily 328,000 have already recovered (WHO, 2020). Human life is soo sensitive that even a small microscopic virus like Corona can threaten whole human existence. COVID-19 has engulfed the world with restrictions in human movements, locked down ¡®1\3rd¡¯ of world, clogged national and international flights, pause industries, closed schools, ceased seminars, gatherings and even closed religious aspect of mankind. COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in an unbearable recession in the global economy which cost $1 Trillion (UN trade,2020). The unemployment rate, augmented by 23.4%(IEF), has significantly raised issues of mental health in youths, older citizens and dangerous domicile violence. The captive wild animals are facing food scarcity and starvation problem. On a brighter aspect, Earth is rejuvenating like the elastic rubber that rebounds after it reaches its full limitation. Lockdown and social distancing have appeared as a treasure to nature. Air quality is improving by 30% (NBA, 2020), ozone layer is healing, wildlife and avifauna are embracing the privacy by increasing the mating abundance. There has been significant decline in road accidents, emissions, and traffic congestion. This proved that if planet destroys, then all the human destroys, but if all human get destroyed , the planet will breathe peacefully. Ironically, the current scenario reflects and reconsider our mistakes and to find actual life amidst this pandemonium. Likewise, it has made us realize that we all are equally vulnerable in this crisis. This can be our 'refresh' tool to re-live our life more humanely. Avoiding misleading information and following reliable sources like WHO and government, performing social distancing, self-isolation and taking precautions will work wonders to combat this global crisis. |
