VISIT TO ORGANIC FARM

by Sonika Pariyar | 13-04-2020 15:28 recommendations 0

This quarantine days has made me remember many memories . I miss those day very badly . About month ago ,I had gone to visit Organic Farm located at Sanauli , Khairahani, chitwan.

The farm was mostly famous for dragon fruits. Dragon fruits is one of the newly introduced fruits of Cactus family having great medicinal value along with high demand in market .I have listen many news about dragon fruits but that day I got chance to observe it through my eyes. This farm was not only popular for dragon fruits but along with that many vegetables and fruits were grown commercially. Dragon fruits was grown in row making small plot were lettuce was grown mixed with dragon fruits. Asparagus was another vegetables grown in that farm .Asparagus were not yet ready for harvest. Banana and pineapple was were grown as mixed crop in large area. The owner of farm also informed us that the farm will be soon declared as research centre. They prepare seedling too for all the crops they grow in their farm and export it to different cities like Kathmandu, Hetauda etc. They prepare all  manure them-self my locally available materials like FYM, pseudo stem of banana ,leaves, hays etc.

In this way ,we all might be missing our old memories. I am thankful to Tunza that it has provided me place to share my opinions.
