Provide Water Jugs

One of the best ways to help make the workspace more eco-friendly is to have large water jugs. Not only are these great for getting a cold drink of water but many also offer hot water options which are great for making coffee and tea as well as lunch on the go. Having water on hand not only helps to save individuals money but it also helps save unnecessary plastic water bottles from ending up in landfills. To make it even better allow individuals to bring refillable water bottles instead of using paper or plastic cups that will be thrown in the garbage in the end.

Reduce Energy

One big thing to keep in mind when trying to have a more eco-friendly workspace is to shut everything off at the end of the day. Many different offices will leave computers and phone lines running all day and all night even when they are closed. Not only does this waste a ton of energy but it also does add up in cost over time. Instead ensure all phone lines and electronics are turned off at the end of the day. This also gives the electronics a chance to relax and reset itself.

Go Paperless

One huge way that companies can make offices more eco-friendly is to go paperless. Not only does this help save money overtime but it also reduces the amount of paper waste in the world. Using emails and electronic notepads is not only a much more modern way of doing business but also a much more eco-friendly way. In these modern times, almost everything can be done electronically from bookkeeping, to receipts and everything in between.
