The Benefits of Using Renewable Energy |

Global warming The first benefit is that there will be less global warming. Because of all of the activities that humans do, it is overloading the atmosphere with emissions and carbon dioxide. All of these gases are acting like a blanket and it is trapping all the heat inside of the atmosphere. This is resulting in a lot of harmful impacts that include storms that are more frequent and a lot stronger, droughts, a rise in the sea level, and the extinction of some animals that cannot live when they are exposed to all of these gases. Health The second benefit is that the health of the public will improve over time. All of the pollution in our air and water is emitted through non renewable resources like coal and natural gas plants. This pollution has been linked to people having problems with their breathing, heart attacks, premature death, neurological damage, and cancer. And this pollution is going to affect every person who breaths in the air. But the clean energy technology is not going to produce any of this pollution into the air or water. We can generate electricity through wind, solar, and hydroelectric systems that are not going to produce any emissions in the air. Inexhaustible energy The third benefit is the inexhaustible energy. There are plenty of things that can supply the earth with a supply of energy like sunny skies, heat from the earth, strong winds, abundant plant matter, and water that is fast moving. But there is only a small fraction of the electricity in the United States that come from these sources. There is a chance of the government will end up sponsoring the money for a lot of these resources to be used more in the United States. Therefore, people will be a lot more comfortable in their surroundings when they know that they are breathing better air. Jobs The fourth benefit is that by using renewable energy, it is going to require a lot more labor. This is because the solar panels will need a person to install them for you and the wind farms will need technicians to take care of the maintenance. This means that these will be jobs that will help out the economy. Using the renewable energy already has supported thousands of different jobs inside of the United States and this is only going to improve over time. This is especially true when it comes to operations and maintenance, manufacturing, construction and turbine installation, transportation and logistics, project development, and financial, legal, and consulting services. Prices The fifth benefit is the energy prices will begin to stabilize. This is because through the renewable sources of energy, electricity will be a lot more affordable to everyone. They will require some upfront money to build, but it is not going to cost a lot of money to operate them since they will not have any fuel in them. This means that the cost of fossil fuel will vary because of the price swings in the renewable sources. This is something that has happened to the price of coal and natural gas over the last few years. Reliability The sixth benefit is that renewable sources will be a lot more reliable in some of the other electricity sources, which means that they will be a lot more resilient. The wind and solar panels have less of a chance of failing on a large scale because of the way that they are distributed and because they are modular. The distributed systems will be put all over a larger geographical area. This means that if there is severe weather in one particular area, it is not going to cut off the power for the whole region. The modular systems use several different individual solar arrays or wind turbines to get the electricity out of for you. |
