One of the most celebrated global initiative was celebrated again today from 8:30 to 9:30 in all standard time for each country. And I am fortunate to have played my part in this too. Earth Hour is a worldwide movement organized by the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). The event is held annually encouraging individuals, communities, and businesses to turn off non-essential electric lights for one hour, from 8:30 to 9:30 p.m. on a specific day towards the end of March, as a symbol of commitment to the planet. It was started as a lights-off event in Sydney, Australia, in 2007. Since then, it has grown to engage more than 7,000 cities and towns across 187 countries and territories to raise awareness for energy consumption and effects on the environment. Earth Hour 2019... I commemorated to day by paying homage to the activists who have been paving the way for many to take a stand against climate change and Global Warming. From the likes of Jaden Anthony and Xiuhtezcatl Martinez to Greta Thunberg to Ridhima Pandey. They all have contributed to fighting for our Planet. Earth Hour 2019... To all around the world, I hope you had a fruitful Earth Hour, celebrated with friends and loved ones! I am undoubtably certain that this year's edition of Earth Hour greatly emphasised the need to protect out plant for those to come. #EarthHour #Connet2Earth with #EcoGeneration
