Rhino wandering inside university premises

by Sachin Regmi | 09-02-2019 13:52 recommendations 0

I study in agriculture and forestry university, chitwan. Chitwan is best known for Chitwan national park, which is the most famous and oldest national park of Nepal. Last month we got an amazing site. A rhino entered inside university premises and stayed there for almost 6 hours.

It was a clod winter here at chitwan. I was moving towards veterinary complex (academic building) to attend a lecture. Then I met a staff, she told me there are report of rhino entering university area last night. So, we must be careful while walking since its behaviors cannot be predicted. She also added there was a case of human death due to rhino attack few months ago, near to university area. I was frightened as well as excited.

During the middle of lecture, we heard a loud sound of people shouting. There was a rhino standing on the read. The same road which we use daily for walking. The rhino was a bit frightened with the crowd gathered there. People started chasing it towards nearby swamp. Soon authorities from national park were called and the rhino was rescued to take it inside the park.

Here is a short video made by me on the incident Youtube Video
