I Will Be A Hummingbird |

Professor Wangari Maathai told a charming story about a hummingbird trying to save a forest from a raging fire as the rest of the larger animals only stood helplessly watching the conflagration. They asked the hummingbird what it thought it could do because it was too little and the fire was too big! Without stopping, it answered, "I may feel insignificant, but I certainly don't want to be like the animals watching the planet goes down the drain. I will be a hummingbird. I will do the best I can." — Wangari Maathai This is a story about resolve, effort and courage to do whatever you can to try to make a meaningful difference, however insignificant it may seem. Change or action does not always have to be big elaborate steps in order to make an impact. There is power in a simple step.

Great story loved the moral a lot. And it has motivated me further for moving forward for conservation work. Thank you Faith Cherotich.
