No more plastic bags!

by Muskan Priya | 13-10-2018 14:41 recommendations 0

25  states/ UTs  in  India  have  banned  single use  plastic  bags. And  I  am  so  glad  to share  with  tunza  family  a  great news that this  number  is  going  to  increase  by  one  more  now  from  October  25th  because  my  state  Bihar,  announced  the same  ban  to  be  fostered  from  last  week of  October.

Plastic  bags  will  be  completely  banned  in urban  areas  of  Bihar  from  October 25  and in  rural  areas  from  November 25  this  year, the  state  government  informed  the  Patna High  Court. Advocate  General  Lalit Kishore, who  appeared  for  the  state  government, informed  an  HC  bench  that  "there  will  be complete  ban  on  use  of  plastic  bags  in any  form  from  October 25  in  urban areas, while  it  will  be  banned  in  rural  areas  from November  25  across  the  state. It  has  made  clear  that  all  types  of  plastic  bags, irrespective  of  their  thickness,  would  be banned  in  the  state  from  the  mentioned dates.

    Hi Deepak,

I agree it is still a long way to be a totally plastic free society. But actions are being taken and we believe one day we'll make it happen. Let's hope for better future.
