This is known as plastic pollution in marine bodies. Plastic garbage comes from multiple sources, and this pollution is caused by a variety of human activities, such as improper disposal of plastic products, littering plastic items on beaches, riverbanks, or near water bodies, shipping and fishing activities, industrial waste, etc. and the effects these activities have are very severe, like: 🚮🐢

I??ve seen a lot of footage about wildlife being stuck in plastic, and it honestly breaks my heart every time.
We should all work together to develop materials that can reduce plastics waste, and stop using plastic altogether!
