My Earth Day Experience |

Earth day 2017 This year I celebrated Earth hour in a very different way compared to every year. This year I didn?t do any activity with my group as I had my exams going on, but that didn?t stop me from going ahead and doing my bit for the planet. The first thing I did for earth day was that I helped out in Earth Day decorations at my school. I made different posters and set them up at various areas of my school. Unfortunately phones are not allowed at my school so I cannot share my experience with you. But apart from that here are some useful tips on how to make everyday earth day: 1. Say no to plastic! Plastic is a huge no when it comes to living eco friendly since it isn't biodegradable and stays for thousands of years, posing a threat to the lives of animals and aquatic life. 2. Go solar For a small investment of about ten thousand dollars you can convert your house to solar energy. In the long run it?ll pay for itself as it will significantly reduce your electricity bills. 3. Carpool Carpooling to places that aren't in close proximity is a good way to conserve fuel and reduce your carbon emissions. So from now on you can carpool with a couple of friends, save on money and fuel, and also get to know each other better. 4. Recycle newspapers Take all your old newspapers, bundle them together, and bring them to a recycling center. This can help clear up your house a bit and also save trees:) 5. Reuse and recreate Reuse old wastepaper/newsapapers to create something more fascinating and beautiful. Here are a few things I created for Earth Day I hope you all like it and produce more creative objects like these: |
