Impact of ill-paved road around my university

The earth is surrounded by a blanket of air called atmosphere which helps protect the earth and allow life to exist. Any additional particles or odours that are introduced into air to distert natural balance and cause harm to the living thing can be called as air pollution.

I am an undergarduate studying Bachelors in Agriculture Science at one of the renowned university in Nepal i.e. Agriculture and Forestry University. The major hindrance here is the lack of paved or pitched road. Due to the lingering activity of road widening by the government or concerned authority, ill-paved or unpitched road is one of the burning issue throughout the country. As soon as the vehicle ride across the road a sudden hurricane rises with huge mass of dust all over. This action completely destroys people around. Their face, hair, clothes, shoes everything gets messed up with dusty air.

Well, this is not just the end. It is estimated that we breathe 20000 ltr of air each day which means the more polluted the air, the more we breathe into our lungs dusty air. Other effects include irritation to eyes, nose and throat, allergic reactions. Continual exposure to air pollution affects lungs and may aggravate or complicate medical condition in people.

Hence, i wish the concerned authority knew about the day to day problem that we have to face while walking outside or waiting for the bus. And I hope for this issue to be solved promptly.
