Banning old vehicles for air quality improvement in Kathmandu valley

The government 0f Nepal has decided to ban vehicles more than 20 years old from plying in Kathmandu. Though this decision to was taken two years ago, the Cabinet on Wednesday decided to enforce the decision from February 28.  Department ofTransport And Mangement has alredy made an agreement withtraffic police for the strict implementation of the decesion.

Around 12,000 old vehicles more than 20 years old are currently in Kathmandu Valley. 

The cabinet had given two years time for the enforcement of the decision. also the old vehicles outside the valley will be removed from roads by March 2018.

    Lets hope that this will soon be implemented so that the smoke exhausted by them will not be polluting the environment..

    oo thats the good news for nepalese people. Especially people staying in kathmandu valley, it results in decreasing air pollution along with reduction of co2..
