According to the World Bank (2013), the amount of garbage humans throw away is rising fast and won't peak this century without transformational changes in how we use and reuse materials, by 2100, it?s estimated that the growing global urban population will be producing three times as much waste as it does today.

Meanwhile the increasing of the amount of garbage sadly is not followed by the awareness of the society to treat their own garbage. This is the main reason why that level of waste carries serious consequences – physical and fiscal – for cities around the world. 

We can?t deny that most of us do not really care about this matter because it seems like it does not affect our life. But it?s a ticking time bomb. So that?s why before it?s too late, it?s better for us to start concerning and sharing the awareness to others.

One of the way to spread the awareness about garbage (waste) and waste management is by socializing it. But it seems not to be that effective. Because again, people only see things through pictures. They do not experience things by themselves. And it makes things will not last long in their mind. So we can conclude that involving the society is waste management is better solution to spread the awareness. But unfortunately, involving people in such kind of activity is challenging, so what?s the best solution?

Lately, the government of Malang with the society build and develop a waste disposal and management site in Talangagung, Malang, Indonesia to be an educational tourism resort. This place is functioned as the waste disposal and management site as well as an educational tourism resort. As a waste disposal and management site, it?s a place to place and manage the waste from all over Malang area. Meanwhile as an educational tourism resort, it?s a place for public to know more about waste management. In this place society will be given unforgettable experience in managing waste. Not only through theoretical explanation but also from practical activity.

This innovation aimed to spread and increase the awareness of the society about waste and waste management, not only for society around Malang area, but also for society around the world.
