Earth Hour 2016 was amazing and I was more than happy to join the global community showing commitment towards climate action.
Majority of Ghanaians do not know about Earth Hour and what it represents and therefore, it has never been celebrated by the mass or individuals. To help spark Earth Hour in Ghana, I designed a poster for my local organization and published it on our blog to invite everyone in Ghana to join Earth Hour 2016.
I. Poster for #EarthHour2016
Just before 20:30 GMT, I put all my lights off and shined a light on climate action by tweeting on climate change during the entire earth hour. (https://t.co/lpCV3FYyPz )
II. Putting my lights off :)
III. And my last light is about to go off for Earth Hour.
I enjoyed my time on twitter during Earth Hour. I saw amazing pictures of my fellow Ghanaians putting their lights off and using green technology during Earth Hour. I also admired the celebration in other countries where lights at mega hotels and landscapes went off for #EarthHour. The castle of Edinburgh and other huge buildings in U.K and Australia.
I hope that we all continue to commit to climate action through our daily activities and lifestyle.
We can #changeclimatechange.
