Hello everyone. I am a new member of TUNJA. My name is Kushal Marahatta from Nepal. I have written a short article which is as follow                                                                                                                                   Earth is the only planet found as a living planet till the date due to various reasons such as suitable distance from the sun, presence of atmosphere, its rotation and revolution, etc. But due to the human encroachment upon nature, the earth may be in danger.                                      Some geologists have estimated that the life of the earth is maximum 1000 years. It is a warning for us to save or preserve our earth. The so-called humans who have told themselves as a social animal or animal with brain, have destroyed the environment. Their features of socialism and brain has caused the existence of whole earth in danger. The illegal and indiscriminate hunting of animals for food and business has caused extinction of many animals. According to IUCN, 2009 almost 47,677 species were listed in Red List of threatened species, out of which almost 1700 faced the threat of extinction in the world. In the same way, humans may also face the same problem after some years after the evolution of new organisms. No one can say what will happen next. So, its time for us to do something for our dwelling place.                                                                   The primary problems like climate change, pollution, etc have raised which can be reasons for other secondary problems. The climate change has caused abnormal rainfall in some areas, resulting flood, landslides, etc. Other natural disasters are killing many lives on earth. The flooding in Chennai, India is the perfect example of it. More than 260 people have died after the heaviest rainfall in a century. The sea level has raised which has caused more chances of many islands to be drowned. The entropy of earth has increased. We can notice that many earthquakes are frequently causing loss of lives in many countries. Many earthquakes are striking from place to place time and again. Mt Etna in Italy has erupted as volcano throwing away ashes and molten stones high up into the sky due to more pressure inside the earth's surface.                                           So now, it's the time for us to do something for nature which has provided us everything that we need for our survival. That's why we should start volunteering for our environment. We can start from today, just now, not from national level but from local level or our own home, as "charity begins at home."
