One of my friends posted a newspaper cutting on a social networking site this morning on title ?apple orchards vanish in mustang village.? Hey, wait I know you are not interested in this topic but please read once, I bet this is the topic of your concern.  If the same thing would have happen with me few months ago then the situation would have been different.  Like, I would have seen the post then no matter what is it about hit like and?. Of course that?s all. But the situation is no more same.

I am now fed up of reading the news on topics like change in rainfall pattern in Nepal, People died in flood in Nepal, change in monsoon on and off-set, storms in different places in Nepal, longer dried spells and drought events, a growing threat from glacial lake outburst flood and many more. OK fine, you might be thinking,? so what????  But I do care, because I still remember that I am a granddaughter of a farmer, yes, a granddaughter of 87 years old farmer who still works in farms and it is hard for me to remember the year when I heard a positive reply of a question ?How is everything in the village grandpa?? The answer is one of these in last few years like ?No rainfall in time?, ?a catastrophic storms hit the village?, ?Many villagers died in the flood?, ?Dried hit the village very badly?, ?and many farmers stop farming and left the village?. Every time these answers bring pain in my heart and tears in my eyes.

Again, this is my problem right???? Ok let?s talk about you guys. I think using sunscreen before going out is now became a daily routine right??? Yes, because you are afraid of going out in the sun and you know this is the result of something wrong in ozone layer. Using masks and muffler became mandatory because you are aware of increasing amount of carbon in atmosphere. Have you ever asked your grandparents if the winter days temperature are same as before 40 years in Kathmandu? No, you may have realized that winters are becoming less cold. Don?t you want to see your mountains as higher as they are? Have you noticed the increasing number of tropical diseases each year? Do you know, despite the fact that Nepal?s share in GHGs emissions is negligible (0.025 % of global emissions) compared to the global emissions, Nepal is hit hard disproportionately by the impact of climate warming compared to its size and contribution to the GHGs emissions. And you think this is not your cup of tea????

I came to know that the government is now working under the National Climate Change Policy and NAPA to reduce the impact of climate change but don?t you think it is the time for the proper climate treaty for climate justice??? Well, as a highly committed climate leader I want to let you know that the COP 21 is going to be held in Paris very soon. As we all are responsible for climate change and are being affected equally, its, time to raise our voice louder up to the Paris.
